The desire to rise
Crown Lamp was created before our sabbatical in Bali, at a moment when we understood growth primarily as movement: advancing, surpassing ourselves and reaching another level.
Its name comes from the Colombian expression coronar, used to describe the moment when an intention succeeds. The lamp translates that idea into a modular ceramic structure composed of circular units and spheres. Each additional level raises the light higher, allowing the piece to exist in different heights without changing its identity.
Crown Lamp also marked an important step in our relationship with ceramics. Instead of beginning only with a finished concept, we started exploring directly through material, repetition and assembly. The geometries remained recognizably ours, but the process became more physical and open to discovery.
Looking back, the piece captures the person we were at that moment: driven by curiosity, ambition and the desire to keep moving forward. Feel the Shift does not reject that impulse. It allows us to revisit it and ask whether growth might also mean opening, revealing and accepting what cannot be completely controlled.
Before growth began to open, it first taught us how to rise.
