When Change Begins to Grow
Created in 2024 and first presented during Dubai Design Week, Ceramic Blossom is a reflection on those moments when something new begins to emerge within us, before we fully understand where it may lead.
The piece rises like an imaginary plant searching for light. Its architectural ceramic body is gradually overtaken by petals, each shaped individually by hand. No two are identical. They interrupt the controlled geometry of the base, introducing movement, irregularity and a sense of life that cannot be completely predetermined.
Ceramic Blossom was born from the encounter between two ways of creating. Its structure begins through 3D printing, while its petals, surface and custom glazing are developed by hand in our studio. Technology establishes the form, but the human gesture transforms it. What appears controlled begins to grow freely.
The flower becomes a symbol of renewal, but also of creative courage: the courage to allow an established language to change, to accept fragility as part of strength and to make space for an identity that is still unfolding.
Looking back, we recognise Ceramic Blossom as an early sign of the transformation that would later become Feel the Shift. The change had already begun. We simply had not yet given it a name.
