Columns reflects on the part of our identity that remains recognisable even as everything around it changes.
Its forms awaken a distant memory. They may recall classical columns, carved furniture or architectural details that have accompanied us for centuries. Yet they do not reproduce a particular period or style. Their proportions shift, their profiles become playful and their familiar authority gives way to something freer.
This tension between memory and reinvention is central to the system. We wanted to begin with a form that carries history and release it from the idea that it must always look or behave in the same way.
A column is normally expected to stand in one place and perform one role. Here, it becomes part of a language that can move, repeat and adapt. It may rise as shelving, extend through a space or support the surface of a table. Its function changes, but its identity survives.
Within Mas Creations, Columns becomes more than a modular system. It represents a universe that can move between objects, furniture and space without losing its creative voice.
