Countergrain begins with one of nature's most familiar textures and moves deliberately against what we expect from it.
Wood grain, normally associated with warmth, neutrality and material authenticity, is recolored and reorganized into a graphic composition of powder blue, soft pink and deep green. Organic texture and precise geometry meet, creating a surface that feels both natural and constructed.
By separating wood from its conventional appearance, Countergrain reveals another possible identity within it. The material does not disappear. It shifts, becoming rhythm, color and a playful contradiction between nature and design.
Presented independently, Countergrain expresses the spirit of Feel the Shift through perception: the change occurs when something we think we know begins to behave differently.
