What is usually concealed becomes part of the story.
Open Secret Lamp begins with a simple decision: to show what a lamp is normally designed to hide. Its ceramic body opens through an irregular vertical line, revealing the inner surface, the fitting and the cable that runs through it.
The opening is not treated as a flaw to be corrected. It becomes the identity of the piece. Exterior and interior, structure and mechanism, color and shadow are allowed to coexist within the same view.
This gesture reflects a wider change in our way of thinking. For a long time, design taught us to resolve, refine and conceal until an object appeared complete. Open Secret moves in another direction. It accepts that understanding something can begin by seeing what holds it together.
Its 3D-printed ceramic base is opened and shaped by hand before firing, making each version slightly different. The intervention is direct and visible, preserving the moment when a controlled form gives space to honesty.
Openness is not the absence of mystery. Sometimes, it is what allows us to look more closely.
