Three years ago we decided to buy a house. Our first idea was an apartment in the centre of Valencia, but we fell in love instead with the typical old Valencian houses found in the small towns around the city — and the moment we walked into this one, built in 1925, we knew: a beautiful setting, room to live upstairs and work downstairs, and plenty of light.
Today the 380m² house doubles as our studio’s living laboratory, furnished entirely with pieces from our own Mas Creations collections — and it is open for photo shoots, films, campaigns, private events and selected creative collaborations. The property is also available for purchase.
The first space we come to is the kitchen and living room, together in one open space, where we looked for more sophisticated materials — marble, aluminium, microcement and handmade tiles. All the furniture is designed by our studio, part of our Mas Creations collections.
Leaving the kitchen and living room, a corridor connects on one side to a small terrace, while further along we find the bathroom.
It catches the eye through its splash of yellow colour, created with handmade tiles and a wall built in the traditional Mediterranean trencadís technique.
At the end of the space is the crown jewel — our bedroom, where a ball-shaped bed in a touch of fluor colour draws all the attention, designed by our studio and manufactured with a 3D robot. On one side of the bed we created a small TV room; on the other, a meditation room with its own pink fluor touch.
We take a walk towards the interior courtyard, where we created a garden that becomes a transition point between spaces.
Our intention was always to respect the house’s historical character — the original hydraulic tile floors made in Valencia, the skirting and ceilings, the brick walls. As our studio’s home, we added our own contrast of colour on top of that origin, using curtains in layered tones to bring warmth to the space.
